Wildheart and horn of heaven.

leet is for losers
i was wondering since you can use two pronged attack on wildheart and not tribute a monster, i was wondering if it could work the same with horn of heaven?

Once Elemental Hero Wildheart is successfully summoned (keyword being "successfully"), his continuous effect activates and he is immune to all Trap Cards that do not have a cost involved.

You can certainly "activate" Bottomless Trap Hole, but it will resolve without effect.

Just in case anybody reads this wrong. The trap card having a cost doesn't allow it to effect Elemental Hero Wildheart. Masterwoo only meant that you can use Wildheart to pay the cost of a trap card since he is only immune to the effects of Trap cards (not to being used as a cost to activate one).

Nice to have that ruling since we were given originally

Anybody know when we got the face-up on the field ruling added? Since there was no correction announced on the Judge's List this seems like another "slip it in and hope nobody notices" ruling.

"Elemental Burst" requires 4 Tributes. A face-up "Elemental Mistress Doriado" can be used as 1 of the 4, but you will still need to Tribute 3 other monsters of the Appropriate Attributes.

Kind of makes this a useless card to have in ANY deck, doesn't it?

Right, Ruling #1 is a NEW ruling, that came out of nowhere. The ruling that Anthony posted was the original Ruling #1 from when the card was initially released. As Anthony stated, there was no mention of this new ruling anywhere on the boards. It was 'slipped' in w/o notice.

This one really makes me wonder who is giving and getting these rulings. Obviously UDE didn't just make up the old ruling for Doriado. It was a completely new direction that this card was going in. Did Konami determine that this was somehow imbalanced and decide to fix it to be just a plain old effect?

I really don't understand why things like this aren't announced publicly. This fundamentally changes the way you can use Doriado and which decks she can support. Changes like this should at the very least be acknowledged on the rulings board.

indeed, even the old rules on JERP matched UDE's first rules on 'Elemental Mistress Doriado', it seens that Konami decided to change it for whatever reason.
it's just sad that they didn't even tell us about the change, one day I was playing around with RONIN and saw it, I was like "wtf? this wasn't here before".

Hmm. I don't like it when I use a card to make a point and the ruling for the card was changed right under my nose. I shouldn't have to research each and very point I make to make a point that was relatively simple. <sigh>

I guess thats what boards like this are for, but this one urks me more so then usual. Especially after we spent thread after thread discussing the differences between an effect and a condition with Doriado at the center of the discussion. Finally we come to some kind of consensus and it get's flipped to what it should have been to begin with, based on its text. No wonder people keep leaving this game.

I thought Ronin was manually updated based upon the Official Rulings from UDE.

The two aren't linked. Or at least I was under the impression they werent.
