The problem with saying its continuous "hides" the fact that it has a trigger.
Most naturally continuous effects do not require anything more but their successful summon to activate

There are no triggers to the above monster's effect. They are always on, and do not require an event to activate.
Raging Flame Sprite must attack directly AND inflict damage to gain 1000 more attack. That says trigger, even though it will always occur, but it is not an effect, more than it is a condition, and when have you ever been able to chain to a "condition".
Can you chain to Giant Kozaky blowing up? No. You can only chain to the damage.
Jetroid's effect is also a condition that must be met, which again, is not a chainable event. Condition's can serve as "triggers", but not in the sense of the triggers that we are accustomed to by game mechanics.

Maybe I should have been more selective with my choice of words...
A Triggered Event is not the same as a Triggered Effect.
A Triggered Effect implies that you must still activate the effect in order to resolve it.
A Triggered Event implies that the conditions are met in order for the effect to resolve "without" activation.
Black Luster Soldier is a example of a Triggered Effect (must activate effect to attack twice), while Mataza the Zapper is an example of a Triggered Event (attacking twice is the act of resolving Mataza's effect).
So, you would not be able to chain to the resolution of a Triggered Event, whereas you CAN chain to a Triggered Effect.

I have this problem ALL the time. It's a common problem for every judge to sometimes lack the ability to explain or word something correctly to someone else so they can understand what you mean. That's happened all over this site in ruling discussions alone.masterwoo0 said:
