The End of Anubis VS Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6

I apologize if you were offended by my attempt to lighten the mood on this thread. I understood what you were saying. Yes, Konami can change the rules at whim and could rewrite each and every card to be different if they felt like it. I truly wish that this game were guided a bit better by Mr. Takahashi and the many employees both at Konami and UDE to use Errata to fix imbalances in the game and keep things structured and templated. The occassional card that does something outside the rules is fine, heck even a whole bunch of cards that do things outside the rules can be fine if they are written clearly and can be understood without needing rulings for hundreds of card interactions in order to play the game.

It is quite sad but the cards aren't really written to maintain balance. They seem more to be written as a byproduct of the story that all of this was spawned from. From that point of view many cards are extremely toned down and more playable than when they were first seen in the anime. So it is a precarious balancing act to keep enjoying the game sometimes with so much hanging in the air and no guidance forthcoming. We all do the best we can to understand how it is meant to be played, and to point out the inconsistencies to try to get confirmation that it wasn't a ruling error that someone made and is in fact how the card is meant to be played.

It would be ideal to have direct communication with Mr. Takahashi himself in a format where great ideas like limiting Butterfly Dagger Elma could be put forth and we wouldn't keep running into the need for banned cards, and cookie cutter decks. Until that happens please keep the faith that we do manage to improve this game with the discussions we have here and the questions we send up the chain.

<...ducks head in to check on ruling that caused him to lose interest in this game>

Nope...still screwed up.

<ducks back out to look at all the pretty shiny cards taking up space in the old binder...>

I nominate Digital Jedi, with his list of "Errata that Make Sense" to be our official representative :) Brush up on your Japanese, old boy;)
Arigato gozaimasu. Or is it domo? I forget. :D Either way. I'd actually love that job. All I'd need is translators, a laptop and Roninâ„¢.
