Can i discard a Thunder Dragon if the other two are already in the graveyard? and will Thunder Dragons effect trigger if discarded for Dark Core?
how were you reading upside down.....squid said:Oh, I misread the post. I actually had always assumed that the Deck shuffling was a completely separate matter, and occurred no matter what.
lol, I think we were on the same page, I was just reading upside down.

My poor analogy was meant to display that I was thinking that Novastar was referring to a player choosing 0 Thunder Dragon, and the opponent checking the deck to verify that no other Thunder Dragons existed in the deck. I totally missed his point being about the shuffling portion alone.
See? Reading upside down.
This is wrong because of the fact Thunder Dragon's text reads "up to 2" which is 0, 1, and 2. You have three options. Zero is included with Mobius the Frost Monarch's effect. You can choose to destroy zero spell/trap cards even if the field has some on it. The amount is optional when given the two words "up to" in this case. Thunder Dragon is no exception.Cropz said:in fact, you can't search for "zero" 'Thunder Dragon' (IF you have any, you must add at least one), as you can't activate an effect that won't do anything (if you don't have any 'Thunder Dragon' left in your deck, you don't add any, of course, in which case your opponent can verify your deck and it's then shuffled).
