Hmmm... I watched this thread play out over the course of this clue, though I never really put much thought into it. I'm not sure I understand how the animals equal the sarcophagi though.

Either way, well crafted and I'm anxious to see how DaGuy's riddle will play out. We've had some toughies lately.

Yeah, I started out by saying not to take them at "face value" that is, what they look like. It was the fact that they are all "flesh-eaters" (hence the later reference to Kodiak and Grizzly Bears, not the whimpy Koala, Panda or Black Bears, which eat plants). It was a little vague, but that's why I hinted A LOT and tried to guide it. Well, DeGuy's got it. If it comes around my turn again it will be easier. I've written a proper riddle, several lines, rhyming and everything.
